You are exactly the type of viewer who willingly places cash into the greedy, sweaty little hands of cable network executives. They love you for your eagerness to turn off your brain before you watch the show. They love how you're willing to overlook glaring errors in favor of D-list romance scenes that wouldn't be out of place in a soft-core porno. But most importantly, they love you for your cable subscription.

By the way, posting a comment at 2:13 in the morning and leaving "Anonymous" as your moniker while accusing the blogger of not having a life? That's a little something we educated TV watchers call "irony".

This "More You Know" moment has been brought to you by the letters "F" and "U".

You're welcome.Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11233785488168148698noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33485984.post-52241827651889246422012-06-30T10:03:16.788-04:002012-06-30T10:03:16.788-04:00Ha! But they are just better written, better conceived, and tell a better story that what is presented on TV. Believe me, I have "gotten over it." There are many more exciting and interesting things to do! Like...well pretty much anything.Ginahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05819623813366777661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33485984.post-84962166190960844162012-06-30T02:13:50.294-04:002012-06-30T02:13:50.294-04:00you have no life ..get over it, the show in itself...you have no life ..get over it, the show in itself is great and much more successful than the books..Its an adaptation of the books so adapt to it! Not everything needs to be taken literally to every bit and piece of minutia! Stop complaining and thankless and try being grateful.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33485984.post-19840138937389893352012-04-27T01:38:35.870-04:002012-04-27T01:38:35.870-04:00I love this post. You are totally spot on, Gina!
...I love this post. You are totally spot on, Gina!

I hope you do a follow-up post, because there is SO MUCH MORE to complain about. Like how Sam is always portrayed as "I'M NOT GAY" (in contrast to Renly being portayed as "I am SO GAY").Marshahttp://www.first-things-first.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33485984.post-20652926386710135792012-04-25T07:38:44.462-04:002012-04-25T07:38:44.462-04:00It's a shame that HBO's only reason to ada...It's a shame that HBO's only reason to adapt this book series for a show was to present its "shock" quotient, and they pretty obviously don't give a rat's ass about important things, like "plot" or "character development". As much as I despise the book series (and Martin for being a depressing Jabba the Hut who touches children), I will say that some story arcs and characters command your attention, because you want to know what will happen next. In the show, your reaction is mostly limited to, "Oh, Littlefinger's getting a hand-job again...this time he's getting it from...who's that again...oh, yeah, Ros. Duh."

Eat me, HBO. Eat me with a side of shit.Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11233785488168148698noreply@blogger.com
